MNCS Community and Resources
August 20, 2020
Dear Parents and Caretakers,
What a time we have had since March!!! I want to welcome you all back to the 2020-2021 school year! There are some changes to our school this year. We are starting with student safety and wellness in mind. We are following CDC guidelines through the Department of Education. Student class sizes will be smaller per room. We created six feet of space per student to lessen the spread of virus. We are wearing masks for the safety of each-other and we have created a building sanitation and cleaning plan to lesson the transmutation of Covid.
This is one way in which we created safety while learning! The Swans have moved to the "Great Room" up stairs. The 4,5 and 6th grade class has moved to the HighSchool. The High School primarily be online. The Kindergarten is half in the Art room and half in the Kindergarten "Frog Room". The Hedgehogs are half in the cafeteria and half the "Hedgehog Room". Each class has an Advisor that teaches Amazing Math and Language Arts and switches from one class in the morning to the other class in the afternoon . The other classroom has an advisor or general education paraprofessional that works on art, music, projects, play and outside fun with the classes. Online students are included during the day and will have set agendas with the advisors and staff.
I will be "creating with students" (MNCS language for me working with students) in the Swan Classroom. Jane Hibscher and I will team teach with the Swans this year. We are blessed to be supporting the Swans for their amazing 2020-2021 school year! We are very excited to be working together with the Swans in the "Great Room". This room can hold our smaller class size and will give us a chance to work with our distance learners as well as our in school learners! We will use our experience, education, resources, time and talents to create a safe, engaging, creative, fun, learning environment and experience for our students whether they are in school or online.
Keep Creating!
